In 1989, Verena Wyss and her husband discovered a wine estate in a sorry state after years of neglect and set out to restore it to glory. Inspired by a passion for wine making inherited from her grandfather, Verena put together a skilled and eager team to help her bring new life to this venerable estate. Each vine had to be replanted and a winery had to be built, together with a barrel cellar and a wine storage cellar. Restoring the estate required extensive rebuilding, determination, patience and courage. Verena specializes in organic Viognier white wines and is a master at capturing the floral notes of the Viognier grape while maintaining enough acidity to keep your palate alive and wanting more. Since the death of her husband Jean-Pierre Wyss in June 2013, Verena has managed the estate alone, ably supported by her régisseur and long-time friend Patrick Goma.
